Traditional hydrocarbons facilities are fast becoming a thing of the past.

The traditional method of design and installation of a diesel fuel, lubricants or waste oil facility has involved the use of single skin tanks and some form of secondary containment. Methods of secondary containment include concrete base and concrete block wall; dirt base with a plastic liner and dirt base with an impervious clay liner.

The traditional facility is generally a permanent and fixed piece of infrastructure. Moving this facility proves to be a costly and complex exercise

Transtank facilities do not require any secondary containment and are therefore easily relocatable.

All that is required for the installation of a Transtank facility is a compacted level surface and some form of bollarding to protect the facility from any risk of external collision.
